Pet Boarding

When your pet spends the day - or longer - here with us, you can rest assured that your buddy is being supervised by trained professionals. We provide all-suite dog and cat boarding. No crates. We call them "suites" because they are much more than a "kennel". Boarding is all indoor and climate controlled.

Day Care

Pet lovers in Dallas want to give their dogs the best life they can. If you hate leaving your dog at home all day while you’re at work, then our crate-free doggy daycare is the perfect way to keep them from getting bored while you’re away.

Pet owners in Dallas want the best for their cats and dogs. Giving them the quality of life they deserve and the care they need to stay healthy is probably one of the most important things to you as a pet owner. At The Velvet Snout, our pet groomers care about the health of your dog or cat’s skin and fur.

Most pet owners know to provide for their dog’s basic needs. However, what many people often forget is obedience training for their dog. Dogs need diligent leaders who are willing to put in the hours setting rules, boundaries, and limitations.

A good solution if your dog:

The Velvet Snout

We specialize in dog day care (“doggie day care”), all-suite dog (and cat) boarding, board & train programs, dog grooming and bathing in a fun and caring environment.

Dog day care offers a stimulating social environment as an alternative to leaving your dog home alone or crated for long periods. At The Velvet Snout, you will find large play areas with dogs separated by size and temperament and an experienced, professional staff committed to making sure each day at day care is a fun adventure for your dog. Our facility offers a clean and healthy environment for your dog to play and learn to be with other people and dogs. We provide special care for your dog when you have to be away. An onsite webcam lets you check on your dog while in dog day care or in the play yards from any web browser. Guests at The Velvet Snout Canine Adventure Center must possess a temperament that allows staff members to care for them. Allowances may be made for specific temperament issues, but to use our services, the pet cannot pose a danger to staff members.

Our facility is equipped with a monitored security and fire alarm system.

Coming Soon! The Velvet Snout will offer 24 hour access to pick up your pet, 7 days a week.

All new dogs must pass an evaluation to make sure daycare is a good fit for them.

What Our Happy Clients Are Saying

Best boarding! Loved the outdoor area and so did our dog. We enjoyed watching her (on camera) play in the doggie pool and were so relieved she was having a great time while we were away. The staff are also great. They actually care about and will pet your dog!

My dog seems to love it here. Staff is kind and has really gotten to know our various dogs over the years. They’ll still comment on a dog that crossed the rainbow bridge 3 years ago.

I actually work for a boarding kennel, and chose to try a new place while we went out of town!! My dogs seemed super happy when I picked them up and not sad at all, they have been sleeping since they got home!!

Lauren P.

Best place for daycare, training, boarding, and grooming. They do it all and have amazing staff. Take your pets here.

Alexander B.

What a great place for dogs! Two large yards with pools and lots a room to run around! Dogs are kept separate according to size and or energy. Our dog loves it here! Everyone working there is so nice and friendly, and our pup just loves Justine!! We’ll definitely use the boarding option in the future. Thanks VS for taking great care of our pup!!

I have a toy poodle that I rescued a few years ago and she was very traumatized with going to a groomer. I started taking her to Jesse and he has worked wonders with her. She still has some fear but always settles down and allows Jesse to work with her. I highly recommend The Velvet Snout and Jesse for all their services!

We had our Doberman dropped off to train for 2 weeks with Josh. To say she came back a different dog is an understatement! She has so much more confidence which means a lot less aggressive behavior and his willingness to train us to be better owners is priceless! We loved our experience and highly recommend!

Great for daycare and boarding. About 6 years ago we took our senior dogs there for daycare when they were still in the old location. They soon both passed on. Fast forward, 6 years and we brought our new pup there. It just warmed my heart when they remembered our two older pups. Everyone we’ve interacted with is great and truly seems to enjoy being with the pups. Definitely recommend!

Our dog, Wrigley, LOVES Josh. We did the two week board and train program and had a great experience. Wrigley came back so well trained and Josh has gone above and beyond to help translate what he taught her into our house. Highly recommend using Josh and the Velvet Snout team!

Keith A.

The trainer Josh is the bomb! His follow up is exceptional and skills are fantastic! We have a crazy German Shepherd and he’s fantastic with her! We’ve been to several trainers and nobody is as good as JOSH! We highly recommend him and wouldn’t go anywhere else for training.

No matter how old our pets are, they’ll always be our babies. As they age, their needs change, however. Many of our clients struggle understanding how to care for their older pets and ask our doggy daycare facility for recommendations or any helpful tips we have.
Let’s face it; having a new puppy is so much fun.  We love those furry babies. But having a new puppy comes with some challenges, such as puppy training, and house training a dog can be one of the most difficult parts. The #1 reason puppies end up in shelters after adoption is frustration with potty training. So let’s discuss some dog potty training tips.
The average high temperature for July in the Dallas area is 95 degrees. We all know that it is often hotter than 95 in the Dallas summer. The heat is uncomfortable and dangerous for us, but it is also risky for our dogs. What do we do to protect our dogs and keep them cool?
